Accommodation
Description
Built in 1890, this listed home lies in the heart of the beautiful village of Pano Lefkara. An exceptionally graceful four bedroom traditional residence of 400 sq.m, it features an inner courtyard and a lush garden that offer privacy, calm, and a deep sense of place.
The two storey house is constructed with local limestone and soil, naturally offering coolness in summer and warmth in winter. It has remained in our family for many generations. The first renovation dates back to 1929, carried out by my grandfather, and the house has recently been masterfully renovated with great care and respect for its character.
The architecture preserves the original features of the home, including traditional mosaic and stone floors, high wooden ceilings, and large openings that fill the spaces with natural light. From many points of the house, there are stunning views of the sea and surrounding mountains.
The ground floor consists of an entrance hall, a lounge, a double bedroom, a dining area, a TV room, and an additional annex guest bedroom with its own bathroom. This annex is accessed from the lush green patio, where the gentle sound of water flows from a limestone water feature, set beneath the shade of a maple tree. This space is especially magical in the morning hours, accompanied by the sound of swallows.
The first floor offers two double bedrooms with balconies, a patio, a kitchen, a dining area, and a living room that opens onto another balcony. Above, an idyllic upper terrace reveals breathtaking horizon views, stretching across distant mountains and the sea.
The house is embraced by art, family heirlooms, travel memorabilia, books, world textiles, and objects collected from auctions around the world. Every room reflects a sense of love, grace, and lived history, giving the home a special and deeply comforting energy.
At the entrance hall, a small showcase of Lefkara lacework, embroidered by my grandmother, stands as a quiet tribute of love and respect to her and to the village’s craft heritage.
The sunrise from the terrace is truly breathtaking. Do not miss it.
